President Muhammadu Buhari and some members of his cabinet will today leave the country for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Nigerian leader will be on a four-day trip to Addis Ababa for the 35th Ordinary Session of Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government.
A statement signed by his Spokesman, Femi Adesina said the President and the other African leaders will meet to find solutions to political, economic and social challenges facing Africa.
The event is tagged “Building Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent: Strengthen Agriculture, Accelerate the Human Capital, Social and Economic Development.’’
Buhari, according to the statement, will also hold bilateral meetings with some of the leaders in the areas of tackling security challenges facing the continent, maintaining and improving trade and other relations.
Ministers, Geoffrey Onyeama, Sadiya Umar Farouk, Dr Osagie Ehanire and Mohammed Abubakar will be at the event alongside President Buhari.
Also joining Buhari at the AU meeting are the National Security Adviser, NSA, and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA.
