Deola Smart, daughter of the senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi, has welcomed her first child with her husband, Olusola Awujoola.
The couple announced the good news on their individual social media pages on Monday night, where they stated that the child, a girl, was born today, 21 February, 2022.
Awujoola, who is a popular jeweler, took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself and his wife cradling their new daughter.
In the caption, the new dad appreciated God for the safe delivery as he reaffirmed his love for his wife.
He wrote, “My beautiful daughter is here! 21-2-2022. I love you @deolasmart. Thank you Jesus.”
Also known as Malivelihood, the new dad shared the announcement on his Instagram story too, where he shared similarities between his birth date and that of his child
He added that he was born on September 21, his wife’s birthday was November 21, while they welcomed their child on February 21.
Shortly after he announced the good news, Deola also took to her page to do the same.
Sharing a picture of herself and her husband cradling her baby bump, she said,”21-2-22 @malivelihood I love you. God is awesome. #blessed.”
Describing the picture, she wrote, “Throwback to last week. Nine months preggy.”
Deola’s sister, Gbemi, also celebrated the new parents on her Instagram story.
She wrote, “My niece is here. Congrats mum and dad @deolasmart @malivelihood.”
This comes a week after Deola received a Rolls Royce from her husband as Valentine’s Day gift.
