Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th National Assembly, has called on the Nigerian government to learn from Mozambique and Rwanda how to tackle Boko Haram and Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) insurgency.

In a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Friday, the Kaduna State governorship aspirant revealed that the duo countries sought help when they were overwhelmed by terrorism in their countries.

According to him, African countries need to emulate the aforementioned nations in a bid to end all forms of insurgencies in the continent.

He said, “Mozambique invited Rwanda to help in dislodging terrorists in its territory; Mali invited Russian mercenaries to help in dislodging terrorists in its territory; African states should learn from Mozambique”.

DAILY POST reports that there have been calls from stakeholders urging President Muhammadu Buhari to seek help from the United States to crush the Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters who are causing havoc in the northern part of the country.
