Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez have been going at each other on social media following Tory’s court hearing in the shooting of Megan.
Recall that Tory, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is accused of shooting Megan after a party in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July 2020.
Megan and Tory got into an argument while driving away from the event hosted by Kylie Jenner in 2020, news agency AFP reported.
Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, demanded to be let out of the car and then heard Tory shout “dance, b***h” as he opened fire with a handgun, Los Angeles Police Department Detective Ryan Stogner told a judge during a court hearing in Dec 2021.
Tory denies assault with a gun and carrying a loaded gun in a vehicle.
A pre-trail hearing in the case held on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022.
Things got heated between Megan and Tory when DJ Akademiks took to Twitter on Wednesday, Feb. 23 to claim that it was revealed during the pre-trial hearing in Tory Lanez’s felony assault case that Tory’s DNA was not found on the gun used in shooting Megan.
Dj Akademiks later deleted the tweet after Megan Thee Stallion took to her Instagram stories to blast his false report.
She revealed that court had not even started, yet AK was reporting about court proceedings.
Tory then took to Twitter to say DJ Akademiks “is telling no lies.”
After deleting his initial tweet, DJ Akademiks returned to Twitter to contradict himself by saying that the DNA result presented in court says it was “inconclusive in finding Tory DNA on the gun or magazine”.
Megan took to her Instagram Stories again to blast DJ Akademiks for initially tweeting lies. She asked why he initially said no DNA was found on the weapon used to shoot her.
The pre-trial hearing was postponed to April 5 and both DJ Akademiks and Megan made this known online.
While this was going on, Tory went online to write: “You can’t buy and tweet your way out of this one… not today.”
It is believed he was throwing shade at Megan.
Megan then shared a screenshot of an apology Tory sent to her after the shooting to back up her claims that he shot her.
She dared him to lie his way out of it.
Tory responded, saying he was apologizing for sleeping with Megan and her best friend.
Megan hit back, accusing Tory of lying. She said she obviously didn’t shoot herself.
“Just admit you shot me,” she told Tory.
She continued: “You think it’s okay to shoot me then harass me online and make it like this was some weird cat fight. What the actual f*** is wrong with you?”
Megan then shared a screenshot of a tweet by a Senior Reporter of Rolling Stone, Nancy Dillion.
Nancy said that there was “zero mention of DNA at the Tory Lanez hearing”, disputing DJ Akademiks and Tory’s claim about Tory’s DNA not being on the weapon.
Meanwhile, Megan’s lawyer Alex Spiro has released a statement regarding the events occurring on social media between his client and Tory Lanez.
“This is nothing more than the dishonest machinations of a desperate man,” Spiro said of Tory’s actions on Twitter.
