The Ebonyi State chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has said that the national leadership of the party led by the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni is not keeping mute on Governor David Umahi’s court removal.

Emegha made this known while briefing journalists shortly after an enlarged state executive council, SEC, meeting that took place at the party’s office located at the Akanu-Ibiam International Conference Centre, ICC, Abakaliki, the state capital.

Speaking on the position of the national leadership of the party towards the sack of Umahi by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC, Okoro said: “there is no way that the court cannot look into the matter, especially as it has been appealed.

“The national leadership of APC is doing something about the court judgment. The governor is representing them here in Ebonyi state, as such, there is no way the national leadership of APC will allow their own state, to be taken over by the opposition party.”

He also revealed that the party in the state adopted consensus in their micro zoning.

“The positions include the national treasurer and the Zonal Secretary of the party. And as such, we have guidelines, which is a time to apply for your forms and a time to submit it. There are people who moved to purchase the forms but as a family, we decided to go on consensus,” he said.
