Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has grown stronger under his watch.
In a social media post, the governor said that since the inception of his administration, there have been three elections in Imo State and APC has emerged victorious in all of them.
He said that the most recent victory at the Ngor Okpala election remains remarkable because the constituency has been freed from decades of political bondage orchestrated by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
“Since my emergence as the Executive Governor of Imo State, we have had three elections in the State vis-a-vis: the Isiala Mbano / Onuimo / Okigwe Federal Constituency; the Imo North Senatorial Zone and the just concluded Ngor Okpala State Constituency. To the glory of God, our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in all three
“The Ngor Okpala election remains remarkable not just because of their lacking in representation at the State House of Assembly for over one year but for the political bondage they have been in for decades, orchestrated by opposition party’s dominance of the area in an undemocratic leadership.”
“Today, the will of the people has prevailed and they have been liberated. Our proposed political autonomy, during our rigorous campaign, was overwhelmingly accepted by the people and this is evident in the voting pattern and the spread”, he wrote.
Insisting that the Ngor Okpala victory was the will of the people, Governor Uzodinma said that the APC in Imo State will continue to grow stronger, adding that under his watch, the party will be committed to the delivery of developmental infrastructures and economic growth for the people and the State.
“To the glory of God, stability has returned to Imo State. Many thanks to our gallant security agencies for their tireless operations in the restoration of peace and tranquility in Imo State. It should therefore, be obvious to all that one cannot combat with the grace of God. Let’s unite and support my administration in service to the good people of Imo State.” He wrote.
