Senegal forward, Sadio Mane, has said that he will go to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with his ‘Lions’.

Mane said this in a post via his Instagram account after leading Senegal to beat Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in a 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff on Tuesday.

Senegal beat the Pharaohs 3-1 on penalties in the second leg of their playoff.

Hamdi Fathi’s first-half own goal ensured Senegal defeated Egypt 1-0 in the second leg at the Stade Me Abdoulaye Wade in Dakar.

The match had ended 1-0 after 120 minutes and 1-1 on aggregate, coming just over three weeks after the North Africans were defeated by Senegal on penalties in the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Recall that Egypt had won 1-0 in the first leg last week.

Reacting, Mane, who scored the winning goal for Senegal to send his country to Qatar, wrote: “Qatar I am coming with my Lions see you soon Incha’allah!!!”
