Imo State has hosted the the Wife of the Inspector General of Police and President of Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba, and her entourage as part of the International Women’s Day celebration
Governor Hope Uzodimma in the company of his wife, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Prof. Placid Njoku and his wife, received the guests led by Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali.
In his address, Governor Hope Uzodimma commended Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba In extension to her husband for the galant and intelligent support to Imo State during the insecurity crises.
The Governor further offered the Administration’s hand of support to the Police Wives Association (POWA) in the areas of Healthcare and Education especially skill acquisition, adding that support rendered to Police Officers Wives is support in extension to force men.
“I once again offer the assurances of my administration’s support to POWA in all its endeavors, as we continue to collaborate and collectively work towards building a better society, ending all forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) everywhere they may exist in our society.” Gov. Uzodimma stated.
