Ex-Chelsea captain, John Terry has hailed Roman Abramovich as “the best owner in the world”.

Terry stated this in reaction to the Russian billionaire confirming he is putting the Stamford Bridge club up for sale after almost two decades in charge.

Abramovich, who bought the Blues for £140million back in 2003, saw the men’s first-team collect 19 trophies, including every title available.

In an Instagram post, Terry thanked Abramovich for his work in west London.

“Thank you Roman @chelseafc. The best owner in the WORLD,” the 41-year-old wrote.

Terry left Chelsea in 2017, but returned last December to assist with coaching in the club’s academy.
