The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appointed the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom to head a three-man committee to resolve the crisis in the Edo State chapter of the party.

This is part of the resolutions reached at the 95th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

According to a statement by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Governor Ortom will be assisted by the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, and Sen. Bala Mohammed as members.

The Edo State chapter of the PDP has been embroiled in crises of interests since Governor Godwin Obaseki crossed over to the party ahead of the 2019 elections.
