Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has given his verdict on Paul Pogba’s display against Manchester City.
Scholes said Pogba played well in the first 20 minutes during the encounter, adding that the France World Cup winner was alright upfront against City.
Pogba was unable to save Man United as two goals each from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez ensured the Premier League champions defeated Ralf Rangnick’s side 4-1 on Sunday.
Jadon Sancho did score a goal for the Red Devils against Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium.
“The first 20 minutes I was surprised they played really well, they were comfortable on the ball, [Paul] Pogba up front looked alright. His subs have worked the last few weeks, don’t get me wrong but it was a deflated team,” Scholes told Premier League Productions.
He added, “As much as you can have a go at United today, they are playing against possibly one of the best teams we have seen. In the second half, the players looked lost. They looked like they didn’t have a clue what they were doing.”
