Former Senator, Shehu Sani has advised politicians in Kaduna State to suspend all political activities in honour of those killed during an attack on an Abuja bound train.

On Monday night, a Kaduna – Abuja bound train with over 950 passengers on board was attacked by bandits. Six people were reportedly killed, while others sustained gunshot injuries.

On his Facebook page, he wrote, “It will be more dignified for politicians in Kaduna to momentarily suspend all political activities in the state in honour of the victims of the tragic attacks on the Abuja-Kaduna Train.

“I have ordered my team to comply with this and those who went to Abuja HQ of the party should return home.” He wrote

Meanwhile, relatives of the ill-fated train victims Tuesday morning, trooped to the Rigasa station looking for their family members.

However, the Kaduna State government said it had embarked on an emergency evacuation of victims through relevant agencies.
