The Ukrainian government has sent a message of gratitude to the Federal Government of Nigeria and other countries for their support during the United Nations resolution over the invasion of the country by the Russian forces.

The Defense attached to the Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria, Colonel Andrii Vasyliev stated this in a statement on Friday.

He asked for more sanctions against Russia, insisting that the country [Russia] is planning a chemical attack on Ukraine and has perpetrated war crimes with attacks targeted at children and some women raped by Russian soldiers.

According to him, “Ukraine is grateful to the world community for its support, financial and military assistance in the war against Russia.

“Ukraine is also grateful to the Government of Nigeria for supporting on March 2, 2022, the resolution “Aggression against Ukraine”, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly by a majority of its members.
