The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, has expressed shock and sadness over the recent attacks involving an Abuja-Kaduna train service and the invasion of the Kaduna airport by suspected bandits.

The Kaduna international airport was on Saturday, attacked by armed men. The bandits also attacked trains along Kaduna-Abuja rail lines on Monday and Tuesday, leading to many deaths and others kidnapped.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, the Deputy Speaker commiserated with the families of the deceased, the Kaduna State Government and the entire people of the state over the unfortunate incident that led to the death, injury and abduction of an unspecified number of passengers.

The Deputy Speaker tasked the security agencies to redouble their efforts in finding lasting solutions to the incessant killings in the country.

Wase urged the people of the state to continue to support and keep faith with the Federal Government and the efforts of the security agencies in their quest to finding a lasting solution to the security challenges.

He prayed that the Almighty Allah grants the departed souls eternal rest and urged the good people of the state to be more vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the security agencies.
