Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo, has sent a good luck message to the Black Stars ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup second leg playoff against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday in Abuja, reports Completesports.com.

Nana Akufo-Addo, while addressing the nation in the 28th national update on how Ghana has dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic, concluded his speech by wishing the Black Stars well and stated that the team gave a good account of themselves in the first leg against Nigeria.

“I wish the Black Stars, who gave a good account of themselves in Kumasi, the best of luck in Abuja on Tuesday,” Akufo-Addo said.

The Black Stars had played a 0-0 draw in the first leg against Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, last Friday.

Ghana players and their officials are expected to arrive in Abuja today (Monday) for the highly-anticipated clash.

The Black Stars are expected to have their last training session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, by 6 pm on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s clash.

The winner over the two legs will qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
