Another Improvised ‎Explosives Device (IED) was discovered in Shanono area of Rigasa community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state on Friday April 1.

The bomb was discovered barely 24 hours after an IED concealed in a bucket was found in the community and deactivated by the state anti-bomb squad with no casualty was recorded.

A resident, Tijjani Umar, told Daily Trust that children in the community discovered the IED in a jerrycan covered with a black nylon and kept very close to a stream in the community.

“It was kept at the same spot where the Thursday IED was discovered. We don’t know what is happening in this community. It was my elder’s brother wife that rushed to inform me that the children found another bomb inside Jerrycan”

Spokesman of the State Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige who confirmed the discovery, urged people to be more vigilant wherever they are in the state.
