Bandits, Monday morning, stormed the Nigerian Correctional Service’s farm located at Kujama community in Chikun Local Goverment Area of Kaduna State and rustled a large number of cows, after killing one person.

A resident in Kujama community, Mr. Linus Tijani, while speaking to DAILY POST, said other animals such as goat, sheep, chicken were also stolen.

According to him, “the bandits went straight into the farm and rustled all the cows and other animals.”

A community leader in Kujama, who didn’t want to be named, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, describing it as a worrisome situation

“Yes, the bandits came to the farm in the wee hours of Monday and rustled virtually all the cows and sheep at the farm belonging to Nigerian Correctional Service. One person was also killed at the farm,” he said.

Though DAILY POST could not confirm the identity of the person killed, as of the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the corpse was deposited at the mortuary.

When contacted, the State Correctional Service Comptroller, Umar Audu, directed DAILY POST reporter to contact their NCS headquarters, Abuja.

However, the NCS headquarters’ Public Relations Officer did not pick his calls, or respond to text message.

Also, the Kaduna Police Command’s spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige did not pick his calls, just as he did not respond to a text message sent to him.
