All political appointees in Taraba State presently jostling for elective positions in the forthcoming general elections have been directed to resign their positions.

The Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku gave the directive on Tuesday in a press statement made available to media practitioners in Jalingo by his Chief Press Secretary, Iliya Bekyu Akweh.

They were directed to tender their resignation letters to the appropriate channel on or before Friday this week.

The directive also affects political appointees serving in the local governments which include supervisory councillors, special advisers and secretaries to the local government councils.
