The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated the SUR-WASH steering Committee to pilot the scheme of the Sustainable Urban and Rural Water Supply Scheme and Hygiene (SUR-WASH) in the State.
Addressing the newly inaugurated members, Governor Uzodimma charged them to bring forth their wealth of experiences and skills in the discharge of the task ahead for the benefit of Imo people.
The program which is a National Action Plan for the revitalization of Nigeria’s WASH sector is aimed at ensuring access to sustainable and safely-managed WASH service by 2030 in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for water.
