Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has disclosed what he would have done if his Kano State counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje was running for the 2023 Presidency.

Wike said he would have stepped down and not run for the Presidency if Ganduje was contesting.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to Ganduje in Kano, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant expressed gladness that Ganduje was not in the race.

He urged his Kano State counterpart to support his 2023 Presidential ambition.

“If Ganduje is running for the presidency some of us will quickly withdraw our ambitions, but thank God he is not running, and I’m sure he will help me to make it,” Wike said.

Meanwhile, Ganduje had earlier warned Wike against pursuing his Presidential ambition.

Ganduje had claimed Wike would lose if he runs for the Presidency in 2023.
