The duo of Nigerian attackers, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman are 180 minutes away from qualifying for the Europa Conference League final as Leicester City look to make further history.

Leicester and Roma will begin their fight for a place in the Europa Conference League final on Thursday with the first leg of their semi-final encounter taking place at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho and Lookman on April 14 created a piece of history for themselves as Leicester produced a comeback to beat PSV Eindhoven 2-1 in the quarter-final to reach their first European semi-final.

After a goalless first leg at the King Power Stadium on April 7, Eran Zahavi pounced on a mistake by Youri Tielemans to open the scoring but James Maddison levelled with 13 minutes more to play.

Maddison slotted into the top corner from Ayoze Perez’s cut-back before Ricardo Pereira fired the winner in the 88th minute to seal a memorable win at Philips Stadion for a 2-1 aggregate result.

With a run of three winless Premier League games ending their chances of qualifying for Europe, winning the UECL is Leicester’s only hope of playing on the continent for a third season in a row.

Lookman who had a hand in Leicester’s winning goal versus PSV two weeks ago after replacing Harvey Barnes has registered eight goals and five assists in 37 games in all competitions for the Foxes.

Iheanacho on his part, has also been quite brilliant with the 25-year-old finding the back of the net seven times while contributing nine assists after making 38 appearances in all competitions.

Leicester on the other hand are set to be without Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi and defender, Ryan Bertrand while Jonny Evans and Boubakary Soumare are also not expected to feature versus Roma.
