Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Adviser to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has distanced the Vice President from a supporter of Osinbajo’s presidential bid who went on live TV to make a comment he described as ”deplorable and bad taste”.
Olugbenga Olaoye was on AriseTV on Tuesday, April 12, to speak on Osinbajo’s presidential bid. He was alleged to have said
””We cannot afford another sick President who will be traveling to London all the time as we currently have, we need someone who is mentally sound. The little time that Osinbajo spent to lead FEC was different. Things were moving”
Reacting via his Twitter handle this afternoon, Laolu said the comment was deplorable and in bad taste. He stressed that Olaoye does not represent the VP or his office.
