Hip-Hop icon, Keith Grayzon, better known as DJ Kay Slay, has succumbed to medical complications resulting from a lengthy battle with COVID-19.


The 55-year-old American DJ passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17.


Rumors of Kay Slay’s passing began to circulate on Sunday evening, with well known music artist manager, Wack 100 reportedly confirming the news, along with veteran Hip-Hop promoter Van Silk.

Back in January, Wack 100 revealed that DJ Kay Slay had been hospitalized due to COVID-19 since December 2021 and that he had been put on a ventilator.

Last week, Wack gave an update on Kay Slay’s condition, writing that the DJ was “still fighting” in a post on Instagram.
Sadly, Kay Slay didn’t survive.


Tributes have been pouring in since his death was announced.
