Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah has suggested that his team defeated Manchester United 4-0 in a Premier League tie on Tuesday at Anfield because Jurgen Klopp’s side gave a ‘top performance’ against the visitors.

A brace from Salah and a goal each from Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane gave Liverpool all three points against Ralf Rangnick’s side.

However, Salah wants his teammates to continue with their impressive display going forward as they seek to win the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City.

“They always try to give us the ball in a situation like one against one,” Salah told Sky Sports.

He added, “We have a clean sheet here, a clean sheet there [at Old Trafford]. We get to the game and want to score one goal.

“Once we get the first, we want to get the second, once we get the second, we will go for a third. But I think it’s a top performance from us, here and away. Hopefully, we will carry on like this.”

Liverpool’s next Premier League fixture is against Everton this weekend.
