The Ekiti State Government has directed Public and Private schools in the state to resume academic activities on Monday 9th May 2022 for the 3rd term of the 2021/2022 session.

A circular from the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology signed by the Director (Schools), Mr. Remi Ajayi on behalf of the Permanent Secretary in Ado Ekiti, indicated that schools’ resumption, initially scheduled for Monday, 2nd May has been postponed.

The decision to postpone the school resumption was consequent upon the public holidays to mark Workers’ Day
and Sallah celebrations.

This development has now put paid to the controversy surrounding schools’ resumption in the state.
