The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says eleven persons lost their while others sustained varying degrees of injuries in a motor accident Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

Spokesman of the Jigawa State NSCDC Command, CSC. Adamu Shehu, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST on Sunday.

He said the incident happened on Saturday evening at Kwanar Kangal along Kano- Hadejia road in Taura.

Adamu said the accident happened when the driver of Golf 3, gray in color with Reg. Number AA 177 GML, lost control and rammed into a bush.

Consequently, eleven passengers died while others sustained serious injuries.

He said the NSCDC officers and policemen visited the scene after receiving the report and rushed the victims to Ringim General hospital for urgent medical attention.

According to him, six out of the victims died on the spot, while five died while receiving treatment.

Eyewitness also told DAILY POST that the accident happened as a result of overloading and recklessness.
