An Ibadan chief, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, has decried the situation where Ibadan High Chiefs contribute money to repair roads leading to the palace of the Olubadan, describing it as disheartening.

Adegoke who doubles as the Aare Onibon Balogun of Ibadan land made this disclosure on Tuesday in Eruwa town in Ibarapa East local government area of the state.

Our correspondent gathered that the road leading to the palace of the new Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun is in a bad state.

According to information, some Ibadan High Chiefs have been donating money for the repair of the road.

Adegoke has, however, said it is unfortunate that the road is in a bad state which made the Ibadan chiefs summon the courage to repair it.

Adegoke while addressing the leadership of APC in Ibarapa East local government, expressed dismay over the situation, the current constitution placed the traditional rulers in the governance of the country.

“It is disheartening that Ibadan High Chiefs were contributing money to repair the road leading to Olubadan palace.
