Former Governor of Imo State, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has urged the leadership, members and teeming supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state to consider the larger interest of the party, especially in their utterances and actions on the issues arising from the PDP Ward Congress for the election of a three-man ad hoc delegates in the state.

Ihedioha, who stated this on Monday in a release made available by his media aide, Chibuike Onyeukwu, in Owerri, the Imo State capital, informed that efforts are ongoing to resolve all the issues that arose from the Congress.

He said “In whatever we do and the interests we are pursuing, we must, without a second thought, ensure that we place the interests of the party above any other considerations or bias. That is the only way to remain a strong and united party.”

The former Deputy Speaker reiterated his confidence in the leadership of the National Chairman, Senator Iyorcha Ayu as a man of integrity to dispassionately resolve all the issues.

“I am confident that our National Chairman, His Excellency Senator Dr Iyorcha Ayu a man of integrity, fairness and justice look into the issues and address them to the satisfaction of members and in the interest of the party,” he said.

Hon. Ihedioha commended the Engr. Charles Ugwu-led Executive Committee of the party for their commitment and untiring efforts to reposition the party and enjoined members to continue to stand with the leadership of the party as they take all necessary steps to restore calm.
