The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, has said the attack on the convoy of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was politically motivated.

Folarin who represents Oyo Central Senatorial District made this disclosure on Monday.

DAILY POST gathered that a bus conveying a press crew of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and attached to the convoy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling APC was attacked yesterday in Lagos.

The incident occurred at the Adeniji Adele end of Isale Eko after Tinubu visited the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.

Tinubu was returning to Lagos State after emerging as the presidential candidate of the APC ahead of the 2023 elections.

Folarin, while condemning the attack alleged it was politically motivated.

He urged security agencies to fish out the perpetrators to serve as a deterrent to others.

The lawmaker in a statement made available to DAILY POST also described the attack as a criminal act.

Folarin said, “The attack on the press crew of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s convoy is utterly condemnable. It’s a politically motivated and criminal act.

“I urge the law enforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book as it will serve as a deterrent to others”.
