The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya is set to interact with field commanders during the COAS Second Quarter Conference 2022 holding from June 13 to June 17.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement on Friday, said the five-day conference would take place in Abuja.
Nwachukwu said the conference would afford the Nigerian Army the opportunity to re-appraise its administrative activities in the past three months.
He said the conference would also retrospectively evaluate all ongoing army operational engagements nationwide, with a view to making projections for the next quarter.
“The conference will also provide a platform for the COAS to effectively interact with field commanders.
“This engagement will cover a wide range of activities, including training, operations, administration and logistics.
“The COAS is expected to declare the event open on 14 June after which, there will be series of briefs and presentations.
“Expectedly, participants at the conference will include principal staff officers, corps commanders, operational commanders amongst others,” he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
