The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has appointed Justice Josiah Mejebi as the acting State Chief Judge.

Performing the swearing-in on Monday, Gov. Bello charged the erudite jurist to discharge justice without fear or favour.

While he described the Acting Chief Judge as a man of impeccable character, the Governor urged him to sustain the feat, assuring the judiciary of the present administration’s support.

Speaking at the occasion, Justice Josiah Mejebi assured of the quick dispensation of justice under his leadership.

He, however, promised to uphold the tenet of an unbiased judiciary under his watch.

Justice Josiah Mejebi takes over from Justice Olorunfemi who retired on Sunday 26th June 2022 after clocking 65 years.
