The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has departed for the Kingdom of Morocco on a week-long official visit to the country.

A statement from the Emir’s Palace on Monday disclosed that the visit is on the invitation of King Mohammed VI.

It said that during the visit, the Emir will undertake a series of official engagements with the Moroccan authorities, including meetings with business community members and religious leaders.

“Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and his entourage will also visit several Moroccan major cities such as Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier and the holy city of Fes among others.

“The visit will culminate with a courtesy call on King Mohammed VI, by the Emir who is expected back in Nigeria early next week,’’ the statement said.

According to the statement, those on the Emir’s entourage include Alhaji Ahmed Ado Bayero, Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida and the District Head of Kumbotso, Ambassador Ahmed Umar.

Others are Dan Malikin Kano, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matawalle, Talban Kano, Alhaji Magaji Galadima, Kachallan Kano and a group of distinguished businessmen from within and outside the Kano Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture.
