A first-year student of the Imo State University Owerri (IMSU) who was reportedly struck dead by lightning following a heavy downpour buried today.
Chiamaka Obodo, 20, was making a call with her phone inside her parents’ house at the Obilubi Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State when lightning struck.
She died on the spot before help could get to her, leaving her family, friends, and well-wishers devasted.

The body of the deceased which was deposited at the nearest morgue was laid to rest today Friday, June 17, 2022.
