Liverpool ace, Mohamed Salah, has broken his silence for the first time since his side’s Champions League 1-0 final defeat to Liverpool on May 28.

Recall that Real Madrid defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final in Paris, thanks to Vinicius’ only goal of the match.

Salah was seeking revenge after suffering an injury in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid but left the French capital disappointed last month.

However, the Egyptian captain is now saying that he ‘cannot express’ how much he and his teammates wanted to win the Champions League, adding that he wished the next Champions League competition would start tomorrow.

Speaking out for the first time following Liverpool’s defeat, Salah said on Instagram: “I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end, we couldn’t.

“I cannot thank the fans enough for your support. It has been a very long season but a part of me wishes the next one starts again tomorrow.”
