Some Nigerians have disagreed with the Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, on the impossibility of the Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, becoming the country’s president under the party.
The Pastor, had on Friday, stated that the Labour Party candidate does not have the necessary requirement to pull an upset against the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to Giwa, the political terrain of the country had been enormously laced with money, which Obi lacked.
While reacting to the position of the Pastor, some Nigerians took to social media platforms to express their displeasure.
A tweep on tweeter, Ahanonu Taiye said, “You don’t know anything. Did Buhari win 2015 election with any structure on ground. Are you not in Nigeria when #EndSARS started without structure. My friend leave your wrong permutation and face your calling. The masses that were tired of Jonathan’s regime will do it again.”
Solomon Delkes said, “Those who are afraid of risk never become successful. I’m willing to take the risk with Peter Obi. Let the heavens fall, I’ll fall with him.”
On his part, Chinanu Ikpeatusim stressed that, “Just for the sake of talking. The 2023 elections will be full of surprises. I’m #Obidient is a movement that will sweep across the nation. People should inform the pastor and his likes.”
For Cee Jay, “Am sorry that this is coming from someone who claimed to be a pastor. Pastors are known for promoting good characters and supporting good people. If a pastor does believe the possibilities of god, something is wrong.”
Joseph Aondoungwa tweeted that “Oga pastor, have you finish preaching to your church and who are you to prophecy who’s going to win/no win? Pls focus on ur Bible study so that on Sunday you will preach well ok.”
Gabriel Akwaja: “This guy doesn’t mean well for this country, is clueless as to political dynamics in an evolving system, isn’t even bothered by the battered economy and polity of a Nigeria held hostage by corrupt political behemoths. Sad.”
Sylvester Paul said, “Peter Obi is a movement. Some people wants to make name by saying something about him that may trend. Who is Pastor Giwa in the first place?”
Eze Chukwu: “Everyone is attacking Obi. Is he the only presidential candidate? Why are they scared of Obi? Why is Obi giving them sleepless night? It all points to the fact Obi is coming.”
Akin Adediran said: “I don’t know why he bothers himself on the matter. Is Peter Obi movement threatening somebody? It will shock you all? Better repent and join so you can be among those who used their votes to change the course this nation for good.”
Also, Ikoru Frank-Briggs said, “Buhari was brought to power by online people 2015. He had contested for about 3 times with no success. This same online you called made him win. The northerner votes was not enough to bring in 2003 and 2007. We have our PVC and we will vote Peter Obi.”
Meanwhile some tweeter users differed on the situation with Dee Jaya, saying that “He might be right because votes do not count in my country, it’s all about power and money.”
Also, Abdulmumini Dauda said, “Confirmed that’s true and most of his fans on Twitter doesn’t have PVC, Obi isn’t competent man, he’s tribalistic and he’s also weak, he can’t beat Atiku or Tinubu.”
Dike Obiajulu: “I like this comment, it’s a welcome challenge to the youths. Una don hear, so let’s convert this noise into PVC.”
