Professor John Bulus, former Head of Department, Christian Religion studies, University of Lagos, has urged churches across the country to be security conscious.
He said terrorists were now after the body of Christ.
Bulus was in Kaduna for the burial of one of his relations killed in Kajuru Local Government weeks ago during the terrorists’ attack that left 35 people dead.
He told DAILY POST on Monday that kidnapping and killings were now mostly targeted at the Christian body, hence the need for all Christians in Nigeria to be security conscious.
“The latest attack, kidnapping, killings across the country have Christians as major victims, hence the need for all to be security conscious and prayerful for God’s intervention.
“Daily reports indicate that terrorists either kidnap pastors, bishops, kill them or demand for ransom,” he said.
He said since the focus was now on the Christian body, and the Government had remained quiet, everyone must rise and pray for God’s intervention, directions and solutions.
According to him, terrorists have caused unending injuries, pains and devastation on Nigerians.
Bulus, who was pathetic about the Owo attack that claimed several lives, the recent Bishops kidnaped in Kogi, Anambra, Kaduna and various parts of the country, urged Christians not to remain silent, but to always cry out to God
