The Osun State Muslim Community has beckoned on the State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola to recognise the Sharia Court as part of the judiciary system in the State.

This is as the President of the Community, Mustafa Olawuyi disclosed that the community, as part of its achievements, has established a Sharia court where many issues have been settled amicably.

Olawuyi made this known on Sunday while addressing journalists on the sideline of the community’s 25th anniversary celebration in Osogbo on Sunday.

Olawuyi noted that the court had been able to settle a lot of cases without anybody taking offence or resulting into killing or attacking other people.

“We have been able to settle a lot of issues through the Sharia court, even boundary issues, we have settled.

“Government should recognise the Sharia court as part of the judiciary system in Osun State like what happens in Kwara and other States. We are one Nigeria. We should come together to work as one indivisible entity,” he said.
