Human rights lawyer and socio-political activist, Reno Omokri have claimed that Christian clerics who attended the unveiling of the All Progressives Congress, APC vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima are not members of the Nigerian Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.

Recall that the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday officially unveiled the former Borno State Governor as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

DAILY POST reports that despite outrage by CAN and other members of the Christian community in the country over the Muslim-Muslim ticket, some unpopular bishops and pastors were sighted that the event.

Reacting, Reno, a former presidential aide, said the clerics are not members of CAN but ‘SCAM’.

According to a post on his official Facebook page, Reno asserted that the men were not representing any Christian, saying they have no congregations.

The post reads, “These are not CAN members that showed up at Tinubu’s Shettima unveiling. These are actually SCAM members. The real CAN members held a protest against the Muslim-Muslim ticket yesterday. The SCAM members belong to a different body!

“Ask APC for their names. Ask them to show their congregations. Who do they represent? Look at the photos.
