Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has confirmed that the club are in talks to sign Brighton defender, Marc Cucurella, this summer.
Guardiola said this after Man City’s pre-season friendly victory over Club America on Wednesday.
Cucurella enjoyed an impressive first campaign in the Premier League last term, earning the Seagulls’ player of the season award.
His form has attracted the attention of the Premier League champions who are looking for Oleksandr Zinchenko’s replacement, with the Ukrainian on the verge of joining Arsenal.
“We are in negotiations. If it doesn’t happen, we have [got] alternatives.
“Cancelo, Wilson-Esbrand is a young talent, Ake can play there,” Guardiola told reporters when asked about Cucurella.
