A Senior Regional Pastor of God’s Chosen Miracle Church, Barnawa, Kaduna, Pastor Daniel Omotosho on Friday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently call to order the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his political allies to stop disrespecting other religions, especially, Christianity for the sake of politics.
He said the use of roadside hawkers, prostitutes and all manner of job seekers using priests’ regalia, berets, robes and other instruments of priesthood for political gains should be stopped, adding that if it were Christians using such miscreants to achieve political gain, it would have turned to religious blasphemy as the country would have been on fire.
Recall that some bishops spotted at the unveiling of Kashim Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate in Abuja were said to have been hired and were fake.
“If it were Christians using fake people as imams and mallam, wearing their regalia, Nigeria could have recorded so many dead, because there are set of religion extremists waiting for a little opportunity to set the country ablaze,” he said.
Speaking to DAILY POST, Pastor Omotosho stated that in as much as Christians are peaceful, and overlooked some issues, they should accord respect to other religions adding that no religion is superior to another.
He added that the APC would fail in 2023 if they are not destined to continue leading Nigeria.
