A socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju, on Wednesday downplayed the possibility of the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, winning the 2023 election.

Adeyanju said the Labour Party presidential candidate is confused.

He noted that the former Anambra State governor is aware he has only a five percent chance of winning the 2023 presidential election.

In a tweet, the Abuja-based activist said Obi can’t step down due to social media hype by his followers.

Following the social media hype, Adeyanju said Obi’s followers would crucify him if he steps down from the presidential race.

“Peter Obi is confused. He knows there’s not even a 5% chance of winning, but social media hype and Twitter presidency has made it impossible to step down his ambition.

“If he contemplates it, Odedients will crucify him. So, he must continue to run,” Adeyanju tweeted.
