The Zamfara State Commissioner of Religious Affairs, Sheikh Sani Tukur Jangebe has lamented the level of instability in the State.

Sheikh Jangebe disclosed this at a special prayer organised by the Ministry in order to overcome the issue of banditry in the State and the country at large.

He lamented that the calamities had become so worrisome, thereby impeding the development of the State.

According to him, the State that was boasting of farming activities was now begging for food, pointing out that commercial activities had completely collapsed, adding that all social activities had equally been paralysed.

The commissioner called for frequent prayers for divine intervention so that peace and stability will be restored, lamenting that the indigines of the State had suffered enough in the hands of the notorious bandits.

He further directed the Emirs, District Heads, Religious and traditional leaders to organise special prayers so as to restore the lost glory of the State.

Sheikh Jangebe further called on parents to contribute their quota towards inculcating moral and religious values in their children.

The Islamic cleric also advised Muslims ummah to always adhere to the teachings of the holy Qur’an and the traditions of the Prophet.
