A closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed in a restaurant in Lagos State has exposed wanted criminals.

A suspected cult member who had been on the run and two others are now in police custody.

Public Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday.

CCTV captured the 22-year-old cultist on July 7 where he was allegedly involved in the killing of a rival at a restaurant in Alapere.

The suspect has been a member of a cult since 2017 and is linked to the death of two other rivals.

Hundeyin noted that police investigations led to the arrest of two other persons.

“Efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing cultists. Suspects will be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations”, he said.

Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi advised parents, guardians, and society leaders to prevail on youths to shun cultism and other social vices.
