The Emir of Zazzau, Suleja HRH Mal. Muhammad Awwal Ibrahim, has called on the Niger State Police Command to harmonize stakeholders and guard against proliferation of vigilante services in the Suleja area of the state.

The royal father made the call during a courtesy visit by the state Commissioner of Police, CP, Monday Bala Kuryas, at his palace in Suleja.

He said this is to avoid clashes of interest in the line of protection of life and property.

The Emir also assured the Commissioner of his continued support and cooperation to ensure peace reigns, adding that security is a collective responsibility.

Earlier, the commissioner of Police, CP, Kuryas said his visit was a further effort to deepen community policing principles while soliciting for more support of the traditional institution in Suleja, Niger State.

The CP appreciated the effort of His Highness, the Emirate Council and people of Suleja for the support given to the Police in the area.

He added, “I equally appreciate the effort of the State Government in ensuring that Policing the State is made easier through provision of logistics and other needs”.
