Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo State, has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of one Ademola Idowu Oloworiyibi.

According to the governor, the arrest became imperative after Oloworiyibi had been parading himself as the Olofun of Irele in the state’s Irele Local Government Area.

The State Government underlined that no one has been approved or appointed as the Olofun of Irele kingdom.

The government also warned that his actions could alienate the peaceful residents of the historic town, with consequences that are easier to foresee.

“It is in the light of the foregoing, amongst others, that the Ondo State Government is ordering the arrest and prosecution of Mr. Ademola Idowu Oloworiyibi.”
