The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, of distancing themselves from President Muhammadu Buhari.
PDP claimed that Tinubu and Shettima distanced themselves from the failure of Buhari’s administration.
Debo Ologunagba, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, made the assertion while further knocking APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, for visiting former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Ologunagba said Tinubu and Shettima’s visit to Jonathan was hypocritical.
According to the PDP scribe: “Nigerians are scandalized over the disgraceful and hypocritical attempt by the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and other APC leaders to distance themselves from President Muhammadu Buhari over the abysmal failure of the Buhari-led administration in which they are principal actors.”
The PDP spokesman recounted how Shettima as Governor of Borno State, frustrated Jonathan’s effort to tackle insecurity in the state.
“Nigerians can equally recall how Shettima as governor of Borno State, sabotaged and frustrated Jonathan’s administration in its effort to curb insecurity in Borno State.”
The PDP scribe stressed that Shettima failed to act on a security report that directed the closure of schools in remote parts of Borno State and relocate students to Maiduguri to write their GCE examinations while he was governor.
He claimed that Shettima’s action paved the way for the abduction of Chibok schoolgirls by Boko Haram.
