With the complete clearance of Sheik Ibrahim Elzakzaky by the Court in a case of Treasonable Felony, thousands of his followers across Nigeria, have commenced their annual Arba’in procession to commemorate the Massacre of Prophet Mohammed’s (swt) grandson, Hussain, some 1400 years ago.

A member of the Islamic Movement, Dr Dauda Nalado from Bayero University BUK Kano, said, they expect the procession to triple this year with the release of their leader by the court.

Nalado hinted that they have already notified Nigeria Security authorities of the procession to avoid unnecessary chaos that might result to the loss of lives.

“Yes we have notified the Nigeria Police but not sought permit because the Nation constitution allowed us to peacefully gather and process without any hitches and so we expect the security operatives to understand and allow us carry out our activities”.

“But now that he was completely cleared by the court we are in earnest reviving the procession this year across the federation, but not that we are all going to Zaria like before, we are rather ending at a particular destination decided by our leaders”.

Nalado reminded that the Sheik Ibrahim Elzakzaky movement was nothing but a revival of the fight against the tyranny done by the Prophet’s grandson, Hussain 1400 years ago.

He said Imam Hussain’s struggle was not only a source of inspiration to the Muslim world but also an inspiration to the whole world with great leaders like Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi copying and even giving credit to the Imam as sources of their inspiration.
