The Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced a mini congress to add women to the list of delegates ahead of Friday’s governorship primary election.

Addressing newsmen at the party’s secretariat in Gusau, the State capital, the State chairman of the party, Dr. Mohammed Sani said the mini congress has become compulsory.

According to him, the non-inclusion of women as delegates was one of the main reasons why the Federal High court sitting in Gusau nullified the initial governorship primary election that produced Alhaji Dauda Lawal Dare as the State governorship candidate.
