Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has supervised the swearing-in of the sole administrators for two development areas.

The sole administrators are Desmond Minakaron and Emmanuel Gamache for Gyawana Development Area in Lamurde local government area and Madagali North Development Area in Madagali LGA respectively.

Adamawa State has 50 development areas created by the state around the 21 LGAs of the state recognised by the Nigerian constitution.

Some particularly large LGAs, including Fufore, Michika, and Mayo Belwa have as many as five, four, and four development areas respectively within them.

The Adamawa State House of Assembly had last Monday, October 17, confirmed the appointment of the two new development area sole coordinators following a vacuum, as requested by Governor Fintiri.

Speaking at the swearing-in held in his office Monday afternoon, Fintiri advised the new administrators to fear God in the discharge of their responsibilities while bearing the needs of the people in mind.

Responding on their behalf, the Sole Administrator for Gyawana Development Area, Desmond Minakaron said he and his colleague would strive to always do the right thing.

The oath of office and allegiance were administered to the two appointed development area administrators by the state Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi, witnessed by Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth, among other top government officials.
