Operatives from the Solid Mineral Unit of the Nigerian Security & Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Delta State Command has arrested three suspects for illegal mining activities in Ugbokodo waterside in Okpe Local Government Area.
The NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Dsc Emeka Peters Okwechime disclosed this in a statement signed and made available to DAILY POST.
The NSCDC image maker gave the names of the arrested suspects to include, Eze Emmanuel, ‘M’ 32yrs from Ebonyi State, Samuel Ige, ‘M’ 40yrs from Oyete in Isoko LGA in Delta State and Isa Idris ‘M’ aged 18yrs from Kano State.
He said the suspects were arrested from a credible intelligence tip-off available to the command.
“Although the suspects have been granted administrative bail, they would be charged to court when investigations are concluded,” he explained.
